Multiply, together with other social networks is a site invented to communicate with people who are distance or miles away. Its main goal is like the goal of cell phones, to talk with other people that are impossible to have a face to face conversation with.
But humans are so intelligent; they’ve used this site not only to talk with their love ones but also, to sell their products. The US-based company’s terms and conditions don’t allow selling products on their site but since Filipinos are so stubborn that they continue to sell, they eventually realized the potential for e-commerce. As to Jack Madrid, country manager of Multiply Philippines, they now consider our country as the home of multiply. Because of us, they now change their business model into the biggest online shopping destination of Southeast Asia.
With this, multiply celebrated its latest Philippine milestone by launching the country’s first-ever shopping party at White Space. They treated fashion lovers and merchants to a one-of-a-kind virtual shopping experience. On this event, Multiply also reveal the new and improved Marketplace that now accepts payment through BDO, BPI, GCash, Smart Money and PayPal. Payments are coursed through Multiply, making online shopping more secure for those who are still hesitant on on-line payment. The site is not just for multiply resellers but also for brands that wished their products to be seen by Multiply’s six million digital sellers and shoppers.
This kind of Launching event for me is effective, and was inspired from the product launching of foods, beverages and beauty products. It was like a free taste of the new product and added a twist by putting it up on a party. It is a great idea due to the fact that blank-parties are now being in as a type of bonding.
